Blessed Growth &
Expanding Vision

Where were you in the summer of 2000? While the nation buzzed about the Bush vs. Gore election, Y2K, and Survivor’s debut, FVL was preparing to move into its brand-new campus—launching what became “The New FVL” era.

Looking back over the past 25 years, we can see how God has richly blessed this ministry. Enrollment now surpasses 800 students, FVL offers expanded programs in Youth Apprenticeship, Student Services, Welding, and Bio-Med. We offer nearly 100 college credits to challenge our college-bound students academically, and we partner with numerous local businesses to prepare those who are looking to immerse themselves in the trades and workplace immediately after graduation. Over 82% of students participate in athletics or activities, and nearly 60% of our faculty has at a minimum a Master’s Degree of their own—all a powerful testament to a thriving campus culture.

We thank God for all of these blessings and for our large family of generous supporters, who continually enable growth and improvement. We are ever evaluating and analyzing the best options for serving our families and growing student body in the future.

Fitness Center

Thanks to our supportive congregations and donor generosity, over $300,000 was raised over Christmas through Spring Break to expand the physical space of our Fitness Center. This renovation should be

completed by August 2025, and we are now seeking $75,000

to equip it for the 130+ students per day, who rely on this

space for their health and wellness (fvlhs.org/donate).

Softball & Baseball Improvements

Looking further ahead, exciting plans are underway to expand and equip our softball and baseball fields for our growing student body. Work on the ball fields will be done as gifts are received and in order of listed priorities, unless gifts received are designated toward a lower priority item.

Thanks to generous donors, gifts to FVL ballfields will be tripled until a total of $375,000 is received, or until the match deadline of August 15. Your gifts toward this match will go to funding and completing three of the 13 priorities for the area.

  • PRIORITY 1 - Storage & First Aid
  • PRIORITY 2 - New JV Softball Field
  • PRIORITY 9 - V Softball Turf Infield

 Needed Expansion

And while athletic projects move forward, we’re also preparing for our most pressing long-term need: a classroom addition. With informational meetings planned in 2026, our goal is to open new academic space by fall 2028.

To all who pray for and financially support FVL—thank you. Your generosity shapes student lives today and builds the future of this ministry. May God continue to bless our shared mission of training teens for lives of service and eternity.

Summer Campus Projects

This summer we are blessed to see several upgrades to our campus. The 7-stall football and track storage shed has finally been completed. Flooring in both the 2300 wing and five classrooms of the 2500 wing is being upgraded. The 18-inch lockers in the boys team locker room are being replaced with 12-inch lockers to accommodate about 80 more team athletes. Furthermore, the parking lot upgrade project is resuming with the northeast driveway and sidewalks to the Commons entrance.
