FVL 5 Core Values - Christ Centered, Family Focused, Humble Service, Relationship Driven, Pursuit of Excellence

Growth is a sign of life and movement. We’ve heard this in phrases like, “If you’re not growing, you’re dying.” On the other hand, focusing on fewer things with greater care often produces stronger results. In other words, “Less is more.” Both phrases are well-known, and both carry truth. Growth is good, but growth without purpose or direction can lead to chaos. Blending both ideas—growing with purpose and care—is the heart of what we aim to do here at FVL.

Recently, God has blessed our ministry with incredible momentum—new families, new programs, new opportunities. With each step forward, however, we are committed to staying grounded in what has built this ministry over the past 70+ years. With each and every student who walks through our doors, our mission stays the same: train this teen for a life of service and eternity.

Our world is broken. It needs to see the light, hear the truth, and be nurtured with daily positive influence. To the point—it needs Jesus. That’s why FVL grows. But we do so both carefully and prayerfully, ensuring that we can serve each student and family with excellence—not just academically, but much more important, spiritually.

Yes, we are expanding. Our facilities may draw attention and our programs may impress, but it’s the Gospel that dominates who we are and what we do each and every day. What a blessing it is, that the saving message of Jesus is being shared with more and more students daily in our chapel devotions and classrooms!

We are building something that is not just a school, but a Christ-centered community. So as we grow, we grow with intention, with quality, and with Christ at the center of it all.
