  • The cafeteria, stage, gym, and faculty lounge were turned into temporary classrooms!
  • A much-needed building expansion project was completed for the 1965-66 school year—doubling the size of the school.
  • The cross-town Apple Bowl football rivalry with Xavier had its first game in 1960, and judo team members competed in the National HS Judo Competition in Milwaukee in March of 1966.
  • Of the 85 graduates in 1966, 22 chose to study to be pastors or teachers.
  • The number of Federation congregations grew from 17 in 1960 to 22 in 1969.
  • FVL’s ministry was blessed during the decade with expanded facilities, enrollment, and staffing.
