Three called workers have said goodbye at the end of the 2023-24 school year: Miss Lauren Ewings will be serving as an English teacher at Divine Savior Academy in Sienna, TX. Dr. Katie Luebke will be teaching at Kingdom Prep in Milwaukee, WI. Mr. Jay Wendland has resigned to pursue a career in financial advising.
In staff news, Mrs. Heather Knoll has resigned her position, which is now being split into two part-time positions. Our new administrative assistant is Mrs. Rachel Bonson, who has been working with us since April, and our new executive assistant, Mrs. Julia McLister, will start work at the end of July. After having been nominated by Mr. Ben Stern (FVL science teacher and a lieutenant in the US Coast Guard Reserve), FVL has been awarded the WI ESGR Above and Beyond Award.
This award recognizes employers at the local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act by providing their Guard and Reserve employees additional, non-mandated benefits such as differential or full pay to offset lost wages, extended health benefits, and other similar benefits.
FVL is one of only three WI employers selected in the
Private Sector Less Than 500 Employees category to receive this award.
