Proactive Approach to Future Projects

A few years ago, President Loberger sought input from FVL’s faculty and staff as he developed and established an Asset Depreciation Replacement Plan. This includes a 20+ year look into the future to identify needs of additions and replacements on our campus, with the ultimate goal of minimizing the reactionary approach of replacing assets as they wear down (see a current list below).

With this plan, we are also hoping to establish a funding model (already started in small ways) in order to be responsible and proactive in caring for our facility, to reduce the number of emergency initiatives, and to fund the ministry's needs without overburdening our generous donors and supporters.

This 2024-2025 year presents us with a number of opportunities for either new assets or older items we know are nearing replacement.

The list includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • expansion of the fitness center to accommodate the growing student body
  • completion of the south Bell Tower parking lot
  • purchase of a new passenger van
  • replacement of vinyl composite tile (VCT) flooring
  • ongoing repair of ceramic tile
  • installation of an additional softball field (to potentially add JV2 teams to both our baseball and softball programs)
  • additional smaller items as designated by faculty

If you or your family would be interested in learning more about the Asset Depreciation Replacement Plan and how you can help, please don’t hesitate to contact President Jeffrey J. Loberger or Director of Mission Advancement Rev. Tom Mielke. We look forward to all the blessings we see coming through our growing enrollment and the maintenance of our current and future facilities.

Summer Campus Projects - Timothy Trout Center

It has been such a blessing the last several months to watch the progress of the Timothy Trout Sports Center building project. Because of the mild winter, Catalyst Construction was able to break ground on February 5, earlier than anticipated. Work on the Sports Center will continue throughout the summer, and we hope to be able to make use of the new facility by early November.

Summer Campus Projects - Lighting, Floors

There will also be some work done over the summer on the interior of our main building. The 2200 wing will see flooring replacement in the classrooms and hallway. Also, the overhead lights in the auditorium will be outfitted with new LED bulbs. These will be longer-lasting and more efficient than the current bulbs. Many thanks to the Bargain Garden Thrift Store for their help in funding these two projects.
